I've Been Baton'd!

Posted on 19th May, 2005 at 7:27pm by joel

I’ve been watching with amusement as the musical baton made it’s way around the “webdev geek circle” these past few days. I kept hoping that some big important guy or gal somewhere would spontaneously pass it to me, but alas, it would not happen. However, a really cool orange frog came through today. I am finally cool…at least until people see what I’m listening to…

total volume of music

On my iBook, officially 0MB. However, my old rev. D iMac plays the role of music server (it’s also hooked up to my surround sound). On it, I’ve got 14.23GB of music, or 3108 songs, which is 9:01:50:21 of playing time.

last CD that I bought

Hotel, by Moby. I’ve been on a big Moby kick lately for some reason or another.

song playing right now

Endless Love (Royksopp’s Analoge Euromiks) from “Melodica” by Frost. I took a spin through the iTMS last night and grabbed half a dozen songs or so. This is my first full listen to this one.

five songs that I listen to a lot, or that mean a lot to me

1. Cells from “The Servant” by Servant
2. Gamemaster from “Tranceport” by Paul Oakenfold
3. Days Go By from “Dirty Vegas” by Dirty Vegas
4. The Battle from “Music from the Motion Picture Gladiator” by Hans Zimmer and Lisa Gerrard
5. First Day of My Life from “Dead Letters” by The Rasmus

five people to whom I’m passing the baton

1. Matt Novak
2. Laura Guetter-about-to-be-Novak (She’s getting married to the above Matt on May 28th)
3. DeltaYankeeKilo (Chris Dykhoff)
4. The Wife (Amanda Dykhoff)
5. Batgirl (I don’t actually know her, but I bet she could do something fun with this)
