Well, the first two rounds of the Big Dance are now over. My bracket is still breathing and my productivity is slowly coming back—just in time for tournament rounds three and four this weekend. Wake Forest made me very unhappy on Saturday, but Wisconsin-Milwaukee made me very happy on Friday. My Final Four isn’t looking so good, but my Sweet 16 has the potential to either kick total ass or make me miserable. There is far more green on this year’s bracket than on any bracket of mine that I can ever remember. I’m stunned.

File this one under “why in the hell didn’t I think of that?” A certain artist has decided that the best way to get his work into some of the finest museums in the world is to place it there himself. Seriously.

Bansky, as he’s known, donned a disguise and literally walked right into the Met, the Museum of Natural History, the Brooklyn Museum, and the MoMA in New York City and placed one of his pieces on the wall in each, complete with frame and description card. Two of these renegade pieces have been discovered and removed, yet two remain. For how long? We may never know.

On Thursday at approximately 11:15am CST, the NCAA Men’s Basketball tournament tipped off with the first of 63 games (I refuse to acknowledge the play-in game as a real game. However, I have no reason for doing this). Shortly thereafter, I loaded up ESPN.com at work and watched the scores update in semi–real-time. Somehow, someway, I managed to stay productive at work. Home is a whole different matter, however.

So I did a little surgery on my iMac today. It wasn’t anything major. In fact, it was a procedure that I’d successfully completed at least half a dozen times over the years and involved a process that I’d accomplished far more times than that. Yet there was something about this particular time that felt a little different, or at least conjured up thoughts and memories that normally aren’t conjured up when working inside a computer.
